You caught one of my very first endeavors with my D300 shortly after I got it. I was following the advice of Ken Rockwell when I set up for shooting the orchid show - I set the camera saturation to high and some other hair-brained settings and shot away. They turned out really wild, but not many people could look at them very long! I tried to make them better and succeeded in a couple, but was following folks advice as I went. By the time I posted the last orchid shot I think I got it down.
