Hey Rob,
Thanks for the info on the de Havilland airplane. This one was still in very good flying condition since it was flown from England to Belgium and back for the meeting. (The owner is British.) I suppose it underwent many restorations since it left the factory so many years ago. I was also told that originally the strings between the wings were piano-strings, which made the plane "sing". They were replaced by metal strings now.
