Shelly, thank you so much for your very kind comment on this photograph. I tried cropping out the bridge, but the skyline of Louisville would then be lost. So I left it in to give more demographic detail of exactly where these fossil beds are. I have hundreds of photos of the fossils throughout these beds, but they are rather stoic and would only interest archeologists. The eagle was a real bonus!
