First, thank you for taking the time to view my photo and share your opinions. I have to disagree somewhat with you framing critique. I feel that it's usually better to have your subject off center. I agree that the background in this case is not attractive and maybe should be more blurred. This is more a "daily life" snapshot than a true portrait and the chair that my mother is sitting in was part of her daily life.
