So far I handheld at 1/100 and 1/200 and some shots are ok although 1/400 is preferred. The 50mm focal is a bit soft but that is what I can ignore, I substitute this as 70-200mm lens. I have also used it on D80 for 750mm and it works well. I tested it on 500mm and it is great and sharp to full size picture. I have no regret it buying this one, it is not expensive.\\\
