Hi Scott,

Thank you for your great critique and continued encouragement! There is a story behind the story with these flowers, whatever variety they may be, and I thought I might briefly share it with you. The shot is a simple one and I deliberately didn't do much PP work on it to keep it that way. These flowers are blooming in front of the house where I grew up and were planted by my mom, who passed away more than 12 years ago. The house is owned by and being rehabbed by one of my closest longtime friends, so I have free access to the property. Other than lawn mowing and bush trimming, no gardening has taken place on the premises for such a long time. My mom, who really appreciated and enjoyed the simple things in life, would have been so happy that these flowers she planted in her simple garden continue to bloom every year.

Well, enough with the bittersweet memories!

Hope you have a great weekend!

Warm regards,
Werner
