As every expert sees right away it is a Drone Fly! "You can see all the relevant details quite clearly : only two wings, very big eyes meeting at the top of the head, no jaws, very short antennae. This is a Drone Fly, Eristalis tenax, male. You can even see the two lines of dark hair that cross the eyes vertically - typical of E. tenax". (They told me too! :0)

I have now idea where the store it, maybe they eat it.
