One of many parks and squares in this city, a planned city with a geometric layout, designed a little more than a century ago to be the capital of the province. Its shape is a square grid with diagonals that cross it and one of its main features is that it is designed so there is always a park or square every six blocks. This particular park (Parque Saavedra) is a rectangular place occupying 4x2 blocks.
