[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The short section of beach between Sagot Beach, & Kongdol Beach, on Baengnyeongdo (Island), has these 2 impressive rocks, that at first, resemble a single arch. There's a man in red shorts at left, for scale. The moon is also visible, in the sky, at left.

Nice capture of light and shadow, texture and colour in this shot. Maybe crop a little more off the foreground - well, I would, at least - since to me it seems that the rocks are the focal point and the negative fore space doesn't really add to that.

Salut Chris.
Une belle image intéressante qui montre une nature qui a été tourmentée par le temps et les phénomènes géologiques.
Merci de cette présentation.
Bonne journée.

Beautiful ! The man in a red short at left give a good scale perspective. The moon on the top left has added depth to the scene. Great point of view and lovely place !

Hi Chris,
Again a clear summer capture from this beautiful beach, you present an interesting formation here. It was nice to include some people in order to see how huge this rock is. Well balanced, colourful composition, fine posting, my friend. TFS!

Hi Chris. This is quite an unusual arch.It almost looks like to an old roman or a Pompei ruin sculpture. There is some kind of mystery around it.I enjoy the sharpness of your picture and appreciate that you managed to include in the picture that man with the red shorts. That gives us an excellent idea of the perspective and the size of that natural arch that landed from the sky like a plane on one wing only...Interesting and attractive shot.TFS
Michel

yes, I noticed the moon as soon as I opened the thumbnail. A good addition, as well as the people to add scale.
Very interesting rock formation .. great composition, nice low light and colors. I agree with Rew .. maybe a little more off the bottom to make a more panoramic view.
Nice one Chris.

Hi Chris,

Now we see what you mean by the "false" arch, nice crisp shot. Rew's suggestion works well on this too (just scrolled up in IE to block part of the beach). I agree that keeping the man in the composition is good for scale. Nice colors and lighting. TFS.

Best regards,
Werner

Hi Chris,

yes, you are absolutely right...impressive rocks. You have taken this shot in a really good moment, because that man in the red shorts really helps to understand just how big this arch is. Impressive...

Colours, textures and details are excellent, light is well handled, but when it comes to the cropping part I gree with Rew.

Best regards,

Stasa

Looks a wonderful place for a holiday. I love the wonderful blue water and sky. Nice rock formation and yes the man adds scale to the shot Good job

Hi Chris, Good POV to show this interesting natural feature so near the ocean well. The dip of the strata is clearly visible and the colours and clarity excellent. Suitable for a geology textbook. TFS. Murray.

Hello Chris,
I like that we can see the differing layers of this rock as they stand out well in the scene. It appears to have possibly been part of the sea floor at one time.
Excellent capture...
Steve

Hi Chris,
Great shot, the man really puts the rocks into perspective. The texture of the rocks almost make it appear un-sharp, interesting piece of nature. Excellent colours here, looks well exposed too.

TFS,
Scott.

Hello Chris,

Mmm, the shadows, creeping across the sand, give a fine first impression.
Good textures, colours and use of the figure for scale.

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Very interesting and the detail is nice and sharp. Very good color, and glad you were able to include the man. TFS

Hi Chris,

The presence of the people has an effect of scale. The point of view is showing the details and colors of the rock formation. It is clear and sharp. The good luminosity is enhancing the colors. have a nice day.

Pierre
