 abstracta (42) PS 7 Edited by:drymd29

Inspired by coureageous attempts by collegue tl-ers:
A radical switch to a minimalistic portrait of a middle age warrior.
Copied face (with lasso tool) into a existing statue in a window; flattened layers/images.
The original statue performed the same switch in the neck.
Possibilities are endless with kind of workshops; it is not only a training in PP (this is rather simple); I feel that the creativity in it is also part of the fun.

 abstracta (42) desaturation+levels Edited by:GoogolGuy

Hi!
Here's another take on the photo. I cropped out the white strip at the top. Then I lassoed the area around Tatan and reduced the exposure to the lowest value. I then inverted the selection and adjusted the levels to get half of his face in shadows..
Hope you like it :)
Cheers!

abstracta (42) Crop and use layers Edited by:technogran
(5525) |
Just to join in the fun and try my hand at doing
'something' to this image. I layered one layer of solid black and erased away to show face, and also used a 25% grey layer to take out the highlights. Cropped it down to one half of face and framed.

 abstracta (42) Lasso+Crop+Desaturate+Copy+Label Edited by:GoogolGuy
(787) |
Well, the hood inspired me to do something Star Wars/Trekish...
So here are the steps:
I first lassoed the area around Tatan, desaturated it and cut pasted the same to another canvas. Using the crop, I resized it to 60% of the original and pasted multiple copies on the black canvas. Then I used a free font to type the caption "Take me to your leader"..I wanted to add "We/I come in peace", but then thought otherwise.
Hope you like it :) |

1. Cropped so only his left side face was there.
2. Copied and mirrored it, so I have one face again.
3. Got rid of the artefacts with neatimage (free download at www.neatimage.com).
4. Desaturated.
5. more Cyan and blue
6. frame.
Hopefully you still like it, although it is totally different. I apologize to the model... Yours, Jan |

I'm joining the fun!
I don't know much about PS, so I couldn't improve the quality of the photography. That's why I
- turned it to B&W,
- rotated while croping,
- some dodge on the eyes
- played with framing.
I hope you don't mind. |

First I darkend al the things I considered distracting in this picture , then I converted to b/W,use the dust and scratches feature to make it a little smoother and sharpend the picture..converted back to rgb and added some yellow and red to the face ...my goal was to focus on the face and the expression only
