I have seem many photo-impressions of the WINDOWS background here on TL. So when I had a similar landscape in front of me right off the highway during my over 600 mile trip through North Dakota, I couldn't resist snapping this one. A polarizing effect on the sky would have been nice to deepen the blue, but as it stands I don't have a filter for my camera, and I don't know how to do it in PS7. If anyone also thinks the sky should be darker feel free to do a workshop, I would love to see it. Thanks for looking.

Adjusted levels, curves, saturation/brightness, cloned out some debris from my dirty lens, and added thin black frame in PS7.

As I said before, my "technique" to working with Photoshop is more like a haphazard experiment than a consistent system of creating an image. I just like to play with different things, and if it doesn't look right, I did something wrong and do it again differently.

For this one, I increased the contrast using Levels, toyed around with saturation in the blue, yellow and master channels, and used a bit of the burn tool set for exposure of 8%. After all of that, I ran it through NeatImage to clean up the noise, and decided that I didn't like the way the clouds were so burned out. So, I clone-stamped them out (and now thay look like cartoon clouds, but if you actually take the time...)

And, that's about it. The more you play, the more you learn, so keep up the good work.
