It's a self-portrait that I took just a few days ago. I aged it in Photoshop using "grunge" brushes that I downloaded from the Internet (http://www.photoshopbrushes.com/resources.htm).
The outfit is borrowed from a Romanian lady that I know. She said it was hand-stitched by a friend of her mother's, many years ago, for a 7th grade home ec class in Romania. From the stitching on the bottom edge of the shirt, I believe it was made in 1945. She said that someone who lives in Romania might be able to tell from looking at the pattern what part of Romania it was made in.
Although I don't know exactly where it is from, I thought it was fun to wear a piece of history!
