For about a month, every weekend I would get up at 5:30am and peer out of the window - hoping for that rare combination of fog and frost.

This particular Saturday it happened, and I rang Diana - telling her to get "dressed" and meet me at the park (Rutherford Reserve - see 'map.')

The window of opportunity was small, the fog began to lift even as we were setting up to shoot, but in the short time we had I was able to get the shots I had been hoping for.

Taken with frozen fingers on a zero-degree morning.

Check out the LP version, although it reveals the (severe) limitations of the Lumix - at just 5.1 megapixels it's not especially sharp, and quite noisy.

tito,
the scene was good for a mysterious dark effect with a single element as a "ghost" and placing it on the thirds by cropping the original a bit. next is to create the mood by desaturating the original colors, adjusted the levels and curves, added gradient (black - transparent) on the ground, and applied a colorized saturation with a tones of dark blue. just playing around with this beautiful photo on a different mood. thanks for the opportunity. :)
