Meteora is from the biggest and most important group of monasteries in Greece after those in Mount Athos. We can locate the first traces of their history from 11th c. when the first hermits settled there. The rock monasteries have been characterized by Unesco as a unique phenomenon of cultural heritage and they form one of the most important stations of cultural map of Greece

PS: I know that is not the best photo I have post ever but I like it!

Highlights selection & adjustment.

In Photoshop, I did a Ctrl-Alt-~ to select the highlights. With them active, I only made adjustments to brightness & contrast. Minor saturation increase and saved for web.

Selected the sky and decreased brightnes 20 % to balance the pic,then selected the whole picture and decreased on brightnes 22 % ..added usm about 5 minutes work
