One of the stevedores in the port of Kusamba, Bali Indonesia. This man was quite elusive. After carrying a heavy sack to the boat, he retreated back to his own little corner, his own world. With his shirt covering his face, he exhibited an aura of mysterious privacy longing to disappear from public scrutiny. When I aimed my camera to him, he looked at me with a compelling gaze. Then he fled.

I am posting this picture as a sort of an appeal to everyone who happen to read this. I am a finalist at DC Magazine Photographer of the Year and I sent this picture as my final brief. Please vote for me. If you're not a member, please register first...it is for free.
