Prague - Into metro (20) Xalkida
(2753) | The Prague metro (subway) carries around 400 million passengers a year. It is fast, efficient, clean, and easy to use. Its three lines consist of about 50 km of tracks (running mostly underground) and some 50 stations.
Metro and public transportions (trams, busses etc) at the ex communist countries are very well organized and runs well.
At the 4 days we stayed at Prague, we used metro for moving from our hotel to the center of town. The ticket was very low (8 crowns for 4 = 0.27€ or 12 crowns for 1,5 hour = 0.36€!) and the trains was quick and accurate!
This photo is from the moving staircases to the station of Muzeum where we change train going to Malonstanka station (Charles IV Bridge).
