I basically got up early and found out that my telephoto didn't have the appropriate max aperature, so I stopped the exposure time down and came out with this. This is pretty much "as shot" with very little manipulation. However, I did reduce the noise. Pic was taken near Bend, Oregon in a sleepy little high desert town called Metolius, population 770.

I think this might work, I did a little digital fill on the mountain and a tad on the grasses. I ran a shadow highlight filter on the while image to start and I upped the mid tone contrast up pretty good as the contrast was a little flat when I viewed it. I also opened up a vignette some too on the corners. Ran a little sharpening when it was all done.

I simply lightened the image with levels and sharpened a tiny bit with USM in Photoshop.
