I took this shot over a bridge near San Marco. I have nice fotos in Venice but it's uncomparable when you come & see it personally.

"A very familiar place.... history says that when the criminals were taken to their new cells from the palace this bridge was used to walk them. If you look at closely, there were some vents on both sides of the center and it was the last time the criminals were able to see the outside."
-DAM

"A wonderful view of Ponte dei Sospiri (Bridge of Sighs)! ...it is named so because the prisoners would sigh when they saw the world for the last time through the small windows."
-Evgenia

Pp: Cropped, lit, sharpened, & framed jet black as the gondola.

hi alfred, as requested. here's a B/W conversion in photoshop using channel mixer. adjusted levels/contrast and straightened the image a bit. not sure if i did justice to your photo. thanks for letting me edit and hope you like it. b/w gives it a timeless feel without the distractions often created by color.
