"He is very imprudent, a dog is. He never makes it his business to inquire whether you are in the right or in the wrong, never bothers as to whether you are going up or down upon life's ladder, never asks whether you are rich or poor, silly or wise, sinner or saint.

"You are his pal. That is enough for him, and come luck or misfortune, good repute or bad, honour or shame, he is going to stick to you, to comfort you, guard you, and give his life for you if need be--foolish, brainless, soulless dog!"

~ Idle Thoughts of an Idle Fellow
(Jerome K. Jerome)

Just a picture taken of a friend's dog in our back garden one day last month. I was taken with her attentive look and was reminded of the above words which I learned at school - I had to browse the internet to help me recall the exact quotation, though: that was nearly 50 years ago, after all!

First thing I did was adjusting colors in photoshop by using automatic color adjustment option.
After that I did use the highlight/shadow option to bring more details back in the fur, especially the darker parts.
Last, but not least I did add a little more (7%) contrast.
Kindest regards and have a great weekend,
Harry
