The Landward Side of Portland Head Light (4)

Although Portland Head Light is the world's most photographed lighthouse, the typical perspective is the lovely face it presents against the sea. I thought you might enjoy seeing the other side -- a fine instance of architecture in its own right and an often busy spot with traffic both by land and by sea.

Jim, please take no offense at this alteration I did of your beautiful Portland Head Lighthouse. I eliminated some extraneous people and enhanced the color just a bit. I will only use this as my own background photo of your beautiful lighthouse, and for no other reason. If you do not approve please let me know. I will take no offense at all. JoeGoff, Louisville, Ky
