Finally - winter came! At least to the mountains, because in the city there's nothing like this. You can see now one of the first shots I've done on my hiker trip yesterday - a house among snowy pines in the village of Ómassa.
Ómassa's located in the valley of Garadna creek in the Bükk mountains. It isn't an old colony - was established in the 18th century by Slovakian iron workers. Officially a part of Miskolc now, although it's more than 10 kilometers far from the city. Located on 480 meters above sea level. The 1st ever iron forge of Hungary was built here in 1803, constructed by the German engineer Heinrich Fassola.
If You leave the terminus of the cityliner bus no. 15 on the hiker ways "yellow line" and "blue line", this is what You see after 200 meters of walking... A tiny little house crowned with spruces - and this very moment covered with snow.
