Last Fall I was visiting some friends in Durham, North Carolina. One morning we took a hike along the Eno River. I had just gotten my 300mm zoom at that time so I was excited to take it along and test it out.

Being the first time I tried to capture wildlife of any kind, it was an eye opening experience. Certainly not easy!

I greatly admire all the wonderful wildlife, bird and animal photographers on this site! I hope to have a chance to try again once the weather clears.

This was one of my favorite shots mainly because it seems to convey the peaceful feeling of being there.

The Eno River, named for the Eno Indians who once lived along its banks, is the initial tributary of the Neuse River in North Carolina, USA.

The Eno rises in Orange County. The river's watershed occupies most of Orange and Durham counties. The Eno converges with the Flat and Little Rivers to form the Neuse River at Falls Lake, which straddles Durham and Wake counties.

Hi Vincent

Using the levels adjustment tool in CS2 I adjusted all three channels individually to warm them up. I also sharpened a tad more with the USM filter at about 50% or so. Hope you like it.
