This was a bulb exposure of around two minutes shot from a tripod with the mirror locked. I shot just before dawn. The colours were initially almost completely gone and I spent quite a while trying to restore a realistic green to the trees.

I'd be interested in critiques or workshops regarding the colour or hearing whether I should just go to black and white. Other critcism is always welcome too.

Josh, Here is what I have done to your picture.
Took it to PSP 7.
1. Used the Magic Wond and highlighted the Trees only, and saturated them to make them greener.
2.Went into effects and chose Auto Contrast Enhancement and chose Dark *Bias*, Normal *Strength* and Natural *Apperance*.
That darkened the whites of the snow and water.
3. I made a copy of the picture and backed out of all that I did and layered the reworked picture over the Original and then Ereased the Trees out to bring them back the Saturated color I applied, leaving the water as is.
4. Saved that and reopened it into PSP 7 and went into Effects and done what is called *Clarify*, What that does is bring out detail thought out the entire picture, that is the only way I can explain that or how it works.
Josh. I hope I explained this well and it made sense to you or anybody else that may see this.
I also hope that You think it may be improved.
