I'm not ready to leave San Marino yet...so here's a street lamp that my eyes caught looking up for a perspective.
I chose to desaturate the background because I wanted to enhance, by contrast, the colors of the decorative glass. Also for visual intrest I kept colored the shutter and the wires that run diagonally on the wall.
The lamp was placed at a too big height for me to capture it without a digital zoom and I really, desperately wanted to get a closeup. This zoom combined with the fact that I didn't have a tripod that would have also helped with the steadiness of my hands, may have cost me a little bit too much. The shot hasn't got the clarity that I had hoped for, and at that time I didn't realize it...
Anyway, to make a long story short, I confessed my mistake hoping I could receive some advice on how not to repeat it. Thank you!
