The above part was info in Turkish for our TL friends
in Istanbul about the Cruise ship trip TL member *Jens* and I are going to make from May 5 till May 19
(Of course with our Ladies too, and some friends)
We start in Istanbul to end .. via Izmir - Athens - Dubrovnik - Venice - Naples - Rome in Barcelona
2\ Today I reached 35 000 points .. I don't know if I am the first to reach that score.. not all that important ! but it made me realize how fast time goes.
I am for myself, close to a turning point.. crossing the 35 000 border means slowing down.
I am sure more active TL members will cross the 30 000 line .. the 35 000 line ..40 000.. where is the line to draw..thats for us all a different issue..
Have plans to go, with a few good friends, in another direction, and turning photo skill into $$$ /Euro's
thats all I can say now .. More in due time .
Do I stop/ quit?
Oh no !! With its little ups and downs TrekLens is a fantastic place and I got to know many many wonderful persons / good friends, who where able to show me the good and useful parts of our common hobby: Photography.

After a VERY intensive period of thinking ..
I had to make a choice between 2 camera's :
5D and 40D .. and oh boy it was hard :-)
even spoke with a few close friends over the phone:

today with Constantinous *Cstatoulis* (Con is in the same position as I am.. IN DOUBT ^_^
I bought the 40D .. like to know why ?
Step one:
My upgrade from 30 D to 40D .. well there are a few useful reasons
With 40D all is compatible from one to other. All my lenses, also the Sigma's
Battery pack ( have 3 large Canon ones ..and the 30D grip fits under 40D camera
Life view .. 2 mill pixels more ..quite some 'inside changes' and it has this automatic 'sensor cleaner'
Large(r) screen on back and a nice price for me at: www.kamera-express.nl ..i.e. 888 Euro plus 150 E cash back
5D
But.. but... and now I might change to a nasty little fellow..
5D is almost not among us anymore ..even how GOOD it is .. and it is a DARN good Camera !!!!!!!!!!!
Whatever we say .. words of praise..proven quality ..dear friends it IS the camera of yesterday!
But again, a VERY good camera..now.. if I see that I can have for 50% of the cost
not the 5 star 5D but the 4 star 40D camera.. with its latest technology ... see my point??
Who knows .. when the upgrade comes on the market for the 5D .. price may drop down further .. lets see and wait
