 remember WW2..? (6) fanni
(118) | This photo was taken at Fjäderholmarna, near Stockholm.
I don't know what kind of military canon this is.
It's very old. A plate on its side says: "Bofors, 1940" (I also took a photo of it - I placed it here in Workshop).
It was a surprise for me to come to this island and discover, actually, two such military canons. They are not far from each other. And they both face the sea.
What role in history these canons played is unknown to me. Perhaps (it's my guessing) they defended Stockholm against enemies during WW2.
If somebody knows anything about these canons, please, let me know...
PS. I don't know if it's right to place such kind of photos here, so if this violates the terms of service, I will remove the photo.
Anyway I thought it's part of History, and people should know...

Fjäderholmarna is Stockholm's nearest archipelago of islands, just 20-25 minutes away by boat from Stockholm. |

I think the original one needed some contrast, I've done it for you.
1. Brightness +10
2. Contrast +40
3. Shift colours: +5 red, +10 blue
4. Noise reduction
I hope you find it useful, best wishes,
Kristof |
