Purpose: To gain more details and structure of the moon surface.

Method: High pass filter and Unsharp Mask.

I did a bit of an experiemnt on this one and combined 2 different ways of sharpening a picture.

First thing i did was to make a copy of the picture to a new layer (Ctrl+J). I then changed the blend mood to "Soft Light" and added a high pass filter (Filter/Other/High pass). The amount of the high pass filter was set to 10 (This is usually a good value, if it is to much you can always change the opacity of the layer itself)

After this was done i went back to the background layer (the origional picture) and added an unsharp mask (Filter/Sharpen/Unsharp mask). I choose the values: Amount = 250%, Radius = 0.5 and Threshold = 0 (These are usually good values, if it becomes to sharp, a white halo around the edges, you lower the "Amount")

I hope it helps.
