I know this picture isn't perfect. It's far from good even. There are many pictures of butterflies here on TL which are much more impressive, sharper, in short better. That's exactly the reason why I post this image. I'm looking for advise how to get such a butterfly picture sharper?

TL is a learning site at last, isn't it?

I took this photo by hand, with my Metz AF48 flash, the Sigma 70-300m

- focal length: 300mm
- f/11
- shutter speed 1/45sec
- Flash: yes
- exposure compensation -0.5
- metering mode: spot

BTW I don't buy jokes from C*n*n users like: upgrade your camera :-)

REmoved artifacts, took cloning too and removed motion blur around legs, sharpened and isolated BG for smoother tones by removing noise.
