Busch Stadium St. Louis (12) rlrad
(832) | Ok, back to St. Louis and the baseball game. I've just got so many places to share with you all from the last couple weeks - I love spring! I've had several great photographic opportunities lately, so, here's another from the third St. Louis Cardinals baseball game of the season. This is the Third Base Entrance, facing west, catching a nice dose of warm evening sunshine. This might look a little off kilter - I tried to get rid of some lens distortion and may have over compensated at the bottom. I like the light, though. The statue in front of the entrance is that of Stan "The Man" Musial, Mr. Cardinal, the greatest Cardinal Baseball player in history. He is still alive, too, but getting fairly old, I think he is almost 90 now.
This shot isn't about baseball, though, it is about St. Louis, and light, and an opportunity. If you want to see a shot about baseball, well, check this one or this one out. They are about baseball a little more than this.
Again, I like the color of the sunlight on the red brick of the stadium, and the reflection on the black steel beams and the red of the team sign against the deep blue sky. I'll put another, less tilted one in the workshop, a little less detail from about a half a city block behind this one. It gives a bigger picture. I don't know, maybe I should have uploaded that one as the main shot for the day, and put this one in the workshop. What do you think?
This is just another of my favorite places in St. Louis. If you ever get there, you'll want to at least walk by it to see the scoreboard and some of the great drinking establishments nearby! |
