Hi Nika,

I saw it more colorful. I did the moves in photoshop cs3:
- image -> mode -> lab color
- added a curves adjustment layer
- in the a and b channels moved both ends of the straight curves inwards 10% so the curve is still a straight line but steeper - that brings out the colors (which in lab mode "live" in the a and b)

I'll upload the curves screenshot tomorrow (today I'm out of workshops).
Unfortunately I forgot to store my ws notes, so I can't remember if I did sharpening - but probably not.
