 Tulips Blushing (155) lilimih33
(17608) | I close my series of Dutch Tulips with this tulip field "in rouge".
This particular tulips is a psychedelic red, which for the naked eye is difficult to focus upon. You really have to see this colour first hand to appreciate how strong this red is.
The province of Zuid Holland, in spring is a "must see" region. Only seeing is believing.
The most visited toutist atraction are the tulips garden of Keukenhof.
In my WS, you can see three different pictures of the same field:
United Colours of Tulips
Travel in Tulips Land
Rows of Tulips
My HDR version. Please let me know what do you think. |

Lili, red, especially the red in tulips, is one of the hardest colors in the spectrum to hold good highlights and shadows, simply because the red is the hottest on the Kelvin scale of reflection. I simply lassoed the bottom two thirds of your photo, desaturated a bit, and then used a little brightness and contrast, and colored it +red, -green, and +blue. Please don't be offended, just trying to make a constructive criticism.

I tried an HDR, and a big resolution of the image.
I blurred the sky.
Please let me know what do you think, it is better than original post?
Regards!
