I recently had the chance to bring in some models to my photo group's monthly shoot. For most of us, it was our first time "officially" photographing models. I've shot thousands of images of my kids, one portrait session with a 3 month old baby, and one session with an 80+ year old couple, but nothing to this degree.

Sure, there are flaws in this image, but I still like most of it.

(Whoops, I didn't mean to upload the version with the watermark. Oh well.)

This was the shot that was set up. I think this one is more effective than the original I posted, but I missed the focus point. I wanted it on her fingernails, but instead focused on her bracelet.

I was too close and within the minimum focusing distance. Lesson learned.
