Hi everyone
The summers are at their peaks here in Pakistan.Dry and hot weather temprature in the range of 40-44 and humidity 5-10%.My computer is still not been put right due to my sluggishness and this is the reason I am not very regular to visit galleries of my friends.I am missing so many good posts by those great artists.Today I am sharing this delicate yellow flower of portulaca which is a common flowering plant here in the summers as it is taough enough to sustain the dry and hot spell of weather.Zinia and other flowers are also there but I prefered this one due to bright colors. The goldenyellowish sign of energy and life and ofcourse the sun (source of energy). The pink heart is sign of kindness and love ,affection. So this flower tells us that there is a blessing in disguise always and Allah (God) loves His creatures and every thing has been created for the benifit of His creatures. We must not get dishearted due to little tough times. These tough times are meant for our future benifits. Here I also want to share something about Portulace which I have collected from Wikiepedia,
Portulaca (pronounced /ˌpɔrtjuːˈleɪkə/,[1] purslane) is the type genus of the purslane family Portulacaceae, comprising about 40-100 species found in the tropics and warm temperate regions. It is also sometimes known as Rose Moss or more commonly Moss Roses.

Common Purslane Portulaca oleracea is widely considered an edible plant, and in some areas an invasive type of weed. Some Portulaca species are used as food plants by the larvae of some Lepidoptera species including The Nutmeg.

Purslane can be eaten raw or cooked, and lends itself to stir fry dishes. Some say it has a slight lemon-like taste and mushroom-like texture. It is relatively easy to grow in more northern climates, including the New England area in the United States.

Scientific Classification
Kingdom: Plantae

Division: Magnoliophyta

Class: Magnoliopsida

Order: Caryophyllales

Family: Portulacaceae

Genus: Portulaca
Thanks for stopping by
Have a joyful Sunday
Warm regards from Pakistan
