Thought it was high time I should try something like a self-portrait. I like 'high-contrast' self-portraits theme, and I prepared some, but I thought it would be fair to do a realistic one first.
I took this one in a church terrace - not because I am religious, but because I liked the lighting. The man standing behind is accidental! Nothing easier that to clone him out, but looking at the picture later, I decided to keep him. I know there are plenty of things to be fixed, I am still very bad at working with layers, so any suggestions are welcome, and please remember that there are 3 kinds of little green men.
Have a great week ahead :)

Getting the two people more into the picture, gives some connection to the two characters. Has the beatiful Marija something to tell us in her languid brown eyes? Has she just dumped him for another? We don't know, maybe there is a story here we will never know.

Come back Marija, all is forgiven. We miss you.

I adjusted the red/yellow hues and the midtones. Then I borrowed some background from behind the girl and build up some to cover the bright doorway. Smoothed out the pixels reducing some noise. Added frames.

It's a bit crude - didn't get the masking 100% perfect but I think you stand out more this way (well, purely technically speaking of course). Hope you like it...

Did this not because it needed enhancement, but because wanted to see the eyes up close.

I've run the shot in Neat Image to reduce the noise...adjusted a bit the settings and voila ;) It gives a smoother skin tone. I hope you like it. It look almost like a painting I suppose. I still like your original more actually.
