This is a first for me on the site. I have had a shot at some HPP, I am not very good with Photoshop so don't be too unkind. I did a lot of levels, curves and some usm. Then used the channel mixer to make the shot black and white. I added a tone and finally a frame. Eh voila. I have posted the original as a WS so you can see what a mess I made.

I gave it a try. produced a color version. Too many steps in PS to remember. basically, level, curve, selective color, dodge, burn, hue/saturation, gradient map, gaussain blur etc. then sharpen for sure.

I am very interested in how you brought out the details of the sky so successfully. mind to share some tricks?

As you can see I have changed it somewhat, but all the detail was in the picture. I haven't added anything.
