Bride in combat boots! (36) annagrace
(3421) | I took this photo yesterday on a break from trick or treating for Halloween. My four year old daughter Anna was "Cinderalla Bride" and she obviously chose her own footwear, LOL!!
I have posted the original as a workshop per Nejat's request. If anyone cares to do a workshop, I had thought of desaturating everything except the lollipops but I forgot how to do it!
I desaturated the photo to give it an old fashioned look since the kids were in black and white anyway. |

Alli,
I don't know how you achieved grey scale, but this is how I did it...
Duplicated original colour layer a couple of times>layer>new adjustment layer>chanel mixer>green chanel>pulled red 10, left green, pushed green10, pushed constant 5>merge down.
So now we have a grey scale layer on top of a couple of original colour ones.
Next duplicate top layer, push contrast as desired. Add layer mask masked out white dress on Anna as it was a bit blown out when I bushed the contrast, merge down.
Now we have a pretty well levelled greyscale image ontop of a couple of colour layers...
On top layer... Add layer mask>reveal all>choose small black airbrush set to "normal" at 12% for good control... bursh out area of lollipop and lips on both girls.
Merge down.
I figured there was a few distractions (trash on floor, and road behind the girls so these were cloned out with the clone stanp tool.
Oh, I also cropped in a bit to let us see more of the interesting stuff.
I hope this helps

| Per Nejat's request, I'm posting the original as a workshop. I desaturated because there wasn't much color to begin with! |
