 Here, Kitty (34) lilycat
(1770) | | Well, I have been away for awhile, but I'm back now. I had actually pretty much run out of pictures to post. However, we just got back from a weekend trip to Savannah and I took almost 300 shots, so should have some pictures to post. I spotted this pretty little kitty at the Tybee Island Lighthouse in Georgia. I loved the muted tones and the texture of the porch. The lighthouse was completed in March of 1773. The current lighthouse is actually the 3rd one built on Tybee Island as the others were too close to the shore and were destroyed. The first 60 feet are original and in 1866, ninety four feet were added in addition to a nine foot tall First Order Fresnel Lens. And yes, my husband(seneca77) and I climbed the 178 stairs to the top. There are several other buildings as well, including the Headkeepers House. The cat in the picture sits perched on the porch of the HeadKeepers House. I'll post more pictures of the other buildings, including the lighthouse, later in the week. |
