actually I was not decisive on writing any notes here about this pic;but I realized I want to:-) I had prepared this compo with the thoughts of ridley scott’s ‘kingdom of heaven’,samuel huntington’s ‘the clash of civilizations’,times of crusades, cervantes’s ‘don quijote de la mancha’,Iraqian war, george w.bush etc. in my mind.
I used minarets as a symbol for Islam, and called them as windmills in the title on purpose.for two reasons; I don’t believe the idea of religious wars,it has no use like the one with the windmills and the other idea is the productivity;many religious ideas were discussed in mosques under that minarets like theological schools and declared canonical laws.

Nejat,
I thought this picture might look a lot better cropped since those mosquea and towers are what you after. All the sand in the foreground distracted from the beuatiful sunset and the amazing architecture. Your Don Quichote / warrior doesn't look real enough to me.

Just to bring the setting sun to one side... Kind of becomes a cadage this way... the first time I did it I had kept the ratio of the former picture and lost a lot of the beautiful sky... A great picture with a great meaning... what do you think o fit now? Also I suppose I am not big on frames... :)
