Forever Summer

Just for all you Northern Hemisphere friends, this is what it is like in FIJI, practically every day, all year round.

This was taken when I was on holiday last August in Fiji.

Don’t you just love the view from the lookout hill on Mana Island, in the Fiji Islands? Here you can see the changing colours of the darker Pacific Ocean and the lighter, greener waters of the lagoon within the coral reef. As you can see the weather was perfect, sun all day, no clouds, hot, with a slight cooling breeze. P E R F E C T!!!

Castaway Island is in the distance. It is another superb place to have a holiday. Many years back we took our two youngest on holiday there and had an unforgettable time. Back in those days there was a bargain price offered - $1 per year in age, so it cost us $25 to fly them both up with us and stay in a bure together. We paid extra for their food, but it was a price we couldn’t turn down – and we ALL still talk about that holiday.

Climate:
Fiji enjoys a warm and pleasant temperature throughout the year - average 72°F / 22Cin the mild, dry season of May through October, and 78.5°F / 26C in the warm, wetter season of November through April. Dress for Fiji is cool and casual.

Area Covered:
Latitude: 12°-21°S
