Just used Photoshop Curves to lighten up the coach's face a little by creating a duplicate layer and lightening the bottom layer, then erasing the top layer carefully in the places I wanted. Also used the burn tool to darken the shadows a little around the rest of the picture at 6%.
Just ran the image through Neat Image to get rid of some digital noise probably created by post processing. Note I added details to the eyes of some gulls before, as some were a bit overexposed.
