Hi Roger

What a magnificent landscape. I do like the effect achieved by your light painting experimentation. The white of the snow on the rooftops stand out against the dark shadows of the mountains and I like how only the houses are red while the rest of the image is b/w.

Hi Jack,

What a dramatic sky. It looks like a storm is on the way by the deep green of the grass and the light cast on the building. You say the image is heavily post processed. What effects have you used and has this altered the original shot very much? The light is stunning.

Hi Arturo,

I do like the effect you have produced here. I have never heard of this effect before but it works well with your landscape shot giving the scene a dreamlike feel. Also I think the conversion to b/w has made this image stand out.

Hi Julie

This is a beautiful atmospheric shot. The light shining on the frosty branches creates a magical effect. I am not sure about the large frame I don't think the images needs it.

Hi Ryszard,

I do like this image, your pov and crop certainly make the houses look miniature. The bright colours and deep blue of the sky make this seem more so. Must be an optical illusion.

Hi Jean

A lovely autumn colour shot. I like your pov and the minimal composition. The diagonal line of leaves is very effective in catching the eye. I maybe would have cropped a little off the top to take out the other tree trunks and make the composition even more minimal but the contrast of the two colours make this a super image. I must get round to visiting Cothele I still haven't found the time yet.

Hi Les,

lovely shot full of autumn colours. I like the effect achieved on the water by using the slow shutter speed but it would have been interesting the see the water flowing naturally too. I think it would still have made a good image, as you have chosen a good pov and the figure draws the eye straight toward the bridge.

Hi Steve,

I love the way you create the mood in your images, you seem to have the technique down to a fine art. I like the simplicity of the composition with the dark shadow of the rooftops in the foreground, so our attention is focused on the wonderful sky. It would be interesting to see the original shots sometimes before you work on them. Perhaps you could add them in a workshop.

Hi Hande

I like your POV in this image. It is very minimalist with the effect of the cable cars coming towards us. The faint silhouette of the wires and the trees is very effective. At first I thought maybe a crop to a letter box size would be better but after looking again I think you have made a good choice to leave the empty space under the cars, as this emphasises the height. Very eye catching shot.

Hi Nicolas,

You have captured a wonderful mood in this image. The minimal tones with just the autumn leaves as a contrast to the grey is super. I like the composition with the curve of the river bank the overhanging tree and of course the placing of the woman and her dogs. Lovely winter shot.
