New Glass makes for great new shots (Always the excuse I use for buying new glass). When you get new glass you always work with it to test its ability. This worked and your abilities worked the shot. Good composition and framing along with good exposure. Nice

Hello Karen,

The amazing thing about these birds to me is the contrast between the flying appearance and when they are at rest on land. We have many of them along the coast in California too and when they fly they have such an elegant appearance, especially when they fly in formation. However, when you seen them close up and not flying they are the strangest creatures and I would almost not guess that they could fly. In thinking about it now, considering their appearance, I can see how they are theorizing now that birds were first dinosaurs!
