A different town - and a different beach from yesterday's view.. This time I've loaded a large panoramic file - first time I've tried so let's hope it works!!!!

From a single RAW file and cropped to pano - just an interesting scene with the houses on the hill and as everywhere in Africa people by the thousands going through their daily business.. A lot to see in this shot. I took advice from yesterday and reduced the slightly green tinge caused by the very hazy conditions..

Cape Coast was the British capital and is 150 km west of Accra which is the capital of modern Ghana..

Hi David

A noticeable improvement. The wide angled panoramic format suits perfectly. Excellent sharpness & clarity. Tfs!

Hi David,
What I like here, it is the extremely precision of the view. Every detail is sharp, even the palm trees in the left corner. Very good control of the light and the colours.
Best regards
Jean

Hi David,
This is wonderful to look at, especially the LP version has a lot to show. When I was young I loved to look at these poster size drawings where there was a whole scene of city action. This reminds me of it and each time you look at this photo something else gets your attention.
Your control over the haze is very good and you did not over do it by leaving a natural feel to it. The composition is great, with the beach entering the photo nicely and the hill placed perfectly.
TFS,
Niek

Hi David,
A wonderful panorama of this beach in Ghana.
Very great details in the buildings, taking in consideration the tele-photo zoom lens used.
Very well managed exposure with subtle lighting and excellent focusing. A really sharp presentation!
Congratulations!
Best regards,

Francis Xavier

Bonjour David,
Ce n'est pas souvent que l'on trouve des clichés d'Afrique.
Cette scène est nous plonge vraiment dans l'ambiance.
la finesse de la photo est parfaite et très bonne idée ce pano !
Bonne journée

Karèle

I almost prefer to look at the smaller version ... just to get a better sense of the overall chaos and activity going on there, with the interesting buildings in the back. However the LP is great for checking out all the details ... and there is a lot of interest in this shot again. Really interesting to see ...

Hi David,

You're not kidding that there is a lot to see in this one. Good choice of panoramic format, it worked well. An interesting view into the daily life of a culture that I will probably never see firsthand.

Werner

Hi David,
Another great shot. The smaller view gives us the overall picture while the larger version gives all the details. I am surprised to see how sharp the larger version is.

a picture to look for ages and dream away David,it reminds me to some places along the coast of India.
Villages right on the beach with lots of human shit, because the beach was also the toilet ;]]]

I cracked for the other view , i am also cracking for this one David , just love panoramic views like these , the cinematographic type of format pleases me very much well it has to do with me enjoying movies anyway , yes there is a lot to see in this one too , the correction brought to the general composition with regards to the green tinge is done faithfully , more like what it should have been ,like it ,tfs

Bonjour David.
Belle image parfaitement présentée dans un format panoramique.
Un sujet qui se prête bien à ce type de photo et la bonne netteté contribue aussi à la réussite de cette splendide composition.
Bonne journée.
