*********DEAR FOLKS*********

#*#*#*# JUST FOR YOU MY DEAR FRIEND DENNIS #*#*#*#

I dedicate this ship M.T. ANAWAN and the whole Mauritius Island to our dear friend Dennis Wright. A very kindhearted person and one of the best photographers with an artistic approach.
Wish you all the best for every step of your life.
-------------------------------------------------------

LOCATION: OFF THE COAST OF MAURITIUS ISLAND
MOOD: AT ANCHOR WAITING FOR BUNKERS
COORDINATES: ACCURATE SEE THE MAP

DESCRIPTION:
While we were en-route from Fujairah, U.A.E., to Rosario, Argentina, we had to take bunkers (Heavy Fuel Oil) from the Mauritius Island since it was a long voyage of One Month. The picture in view is of an Oil Tanker, M.T. Anawan. The ship was empty (Ballast Condition) and we were going to load Vegetable Oil from Argentina and Brazil.
That was a very fine evening with the cool breeze blowing of force 2 to 3. As it was the start of winters in Southern Hemisphere it was very lovely weather at that time.

NOTE: THE CAMERA WAS NOT MINE BUT THE SHOT AND POV IS MINE

ABOUT MAURITIUS ISLAND:

Mauritius (pronounced /məˈrɪʃəs/; French: L’île Maurice pronounced: [lil mɔˈʁis], Mauritian Creole: Moris) officially the Republic of Mauritius, French: République de Maurice is an island nation off the coast of the African continent in the southwest Indian Ocean, about 900 kilometres (560 mi) east of Madagascar. In addition to the island of Mauritius, the Republic includes the islands of Cargados Carajos, Rodrigues and the Agalega Islands. Mauritius is part of the Mascarene Islands, with the French island of Réunion 200 km (120 mi) to the southwest and the island of Rodrigues 570 km (350 mi) to the northeast.

The island of Mauritius is renowned for having been the only known home of the dodo. First sighted by Europeans around 1600 on Mauritius, the dodo became extinct less than eighty years later.

Thank you so much for visit and helpful ideas.

Bom dia Ali,
Great shot indeed. The embarcation at FP is very well positioned, now excellent POV. The deep blue water is very nice and DOF is very appropiate.
A great gift for Dennis.

Hi Ali,
An impressive view of the coast of Mauritius! The landscape is perfectly captured. The ship deck looks a too contrast-full though. The problem here is the part of the deck is in the direct sun while the left lower part is in the shadow. Anyway still a fine and special picture my friend!
Hans

Hello my dear friend Ali!

Thank you soooo much for this gift! I appreciate it very much! I'm so happy and honored to have met you. I hope to see this ship docked in the US sometime this year. If it happens, I'll try to get Werner to join us in a visit. He lives on the east coast of the US. I'm in the middle. I'm saving money for a plane ticket just in case.

I gave you a pine cone, but you gave me a whole island! :) I love this POV, especially with the ship half shaded. This is a very nice look. I love cloud formations too, and with the island mountain skyline, what more could a fella want. :) I'm greatly honored!

Thank you my friend, and I hope you have a great weekend!

Dennis

Hello Ali,

I do like the details captured of ship M.T. ANAWAN, and of course a lovely vista of the shore. Lovely blues, the outlines of the distant mountains are a behold to see. My best regards.
