The minaret of El Koutoubia mosque in Marrakech. They say this was the original model for Islamic minarets in Spain, and subsequently copied all over Europe in Church towers during medieval times.

A razor-sharp capture from a wonderful tower with superb architecture standing tall against a blue sky, Sunil!

I like the artwork on the tower itself and the the way you presented the scene with a nice play between light and shadows. The colors are natural and contrasts are well maintained in the picture.
A cinematic frame does enhance the overall appeal of the picture too-
Good job!

Kind regards,
Paras

Hi Sunil

Excellent warm cold color contrasts between the reddish orange brown minaret of the Moroccan Mosque & the blue sky. Good sharpness & well composed with excellent control over perspective. Tfs!

Hi Sunil.

Pleasing angle used, the diagonal lines creatate appeal. The light gives up much detail to the tower, the bricks and the surrounding shrubbery. With no space above the tower, I feel its cut off and hemmed in making it part of the darkened frame. The one tone, pale blue sky acts as a good contrast colour. TFS

Ciao Sunil, great view of wonderful minaret, good clarity, excellent perpective, splendid light and colors, very well done, my friend, ciao Silvio

Hi Sunil,
The first thing that I noticed is the cut off peak of the tower and thus of course the lack of space above the tower. A simple step back when taking the photo would've been best. I also feel that the composition could have been better. A less centrally placement of the tower, more room on the right so that the tree wouldn't touch the frame would already help. The lighting is OK, considering the harsh daylight you had.
I am also wondering if this is really the best POV you had. If the tower is the main subject, why not look for a position that has less obstruction and distraction. It looks like there is a nice garden behind the fence that wmay have been a better option.
TFS,
Niek

Hi Sunil , not a bad photo but imo this would work better vertically for the tower is very much a vertical affair to begin with therefore suitable for such format and as Niek already mentioned perhaps a less obstructed pov such as from the park-gardens behind the fence , extra room necessary at the top of the tower nevertheless fine details on the brickwork and very sharp . The mosque is a magnet to visitors of the city .
Take care ,
Carol
