Colourful Music

"Music" is the theme of this week. Well I knew I took this picture of two enthusiastic Namibian musicians in the streets of Swakopmund.

With The colourful wall painting it was irresistible to take a few shots. The little financial donation afterward was rewarded with a big African smile.

PP work, hardly any, just a small crop, slight adjustment of levels and curves, resized and sharpened using USM.

Hello Hans

A great composition for the Music theme, vivid colors from the daily life of Namibie.
I like this pov which is also well worth all the musicians, the decor, and mostly what I notice the window that brings a touch of design.
Happy mOOd here.
My compliments

Oh Hans this is so special. The Gaugin colors, the human energy...the sprit of life and music make a winner association. This is a fantastic portrait with music from one of the best photographer of TL. The bg is geniale...I love this. Full of spirit.
( very well composed, fantastic bg, great expression, good sharpness and a lot of mood).
Thanks to have fun and play.
Um abraço

Great daily life shot Hans ... this is the kind of thing I love to see when I travel. Just the locals going about their daily lives, trying to make a living.
This photo grabs my attention of course, because of the vivid colors. Well constructed, with the wall murale and window, and the musicians at the bottom. Well done.
Have a nice weekend

I love how the musicians have created their own audience, their own contextual backcloth, by using the colourful mural, Hans! There is a real mood of jolity.
Very well seen and sharply captured.

Are they peddling their own CD's, too!
What entrepreneurs!

My best wishes,
Bev :-)

HI Hans,
I like your contribution of this week's theme 'Music'.
A shot full of colors and music.
These two musicians are playing their local instruments against a lovely colorful mural painting.
Good light and accurate sharpness.
Nice vertical presentation for such a subject.
My best regards,

Francis Xavier

Hi Hans,

A very nice contribution to the music theme. I agree that the colorful background makes this scene very attractive. I get the impression that you composed this more for the background, with the musicians being a secondary element. In any case, an interesting daily life scene from a far away place.

Best regards,

Hi Hans,
I like that you used the colours of the wall mural as a background to these musicians,it makes me think that their music, must have been as warm, cheerful & colourful. Good image for the theme.

Very colourful, very Africa and very fitting for the theme..

The colour and clarity are superbly sharp, especially considering the really harsh difference in light between contrast and shade..

Good to see you back posting... I know the feeling of working too hard at the moment :-(

A good contribution to the theme "Music"!
Colourful! I love those painted walls!

This is really nice Hansie, they almost look as if they are part of the painting! Sorry I haven't been on TL much, I'm just so sad after losing my mother. I'm struggling, but have lots of photos to post. This is wonderful, the colors are so nice. I almost thought the whole thing was a painting! well done!

Looking at this photo reminds me of how musical the African people are, always ready to sing, dance and play a tune.

I think the photo is vivid in colour, sharp with good detail especially on the wall and depicts the musical character of Africa nicely..

IMHO I might have cropped out the window as I find it does slightly distract from the main theme.

Otherwise a great composition with a well chosen subject.

Thank you.
