[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Books are one of my favourite things in life. They tell you so much about people, they teach you so much, they are just great, in spite of having so much information available on the internet. I would personally not like it if books were to disappear! I have three bookshelves - this is the smallest of them.

I opened one of the doors to avoid total glass reflection - just something different again. I have been wanting to experiment with all sorts of different aspects of life seen through the camera lens. This time it is books. Hope you find it interesting.

I definitely find it interesting, Judy - I love books, too. A fine glimpse into one of your bookshelves here, thanks for sharing.

Maybe you've got something here: wouldn't it be a cool idea to build a theme here on TL of photos where people are showing their bookshelves?

I find it very interesting indeed, Judy. Unfortunately I can't read all the titles, so I can only venture a 60% guess at what kind of person you are. But you certainly pass. I think the shot could probably be better. Maybe you used flash. In any case, I would use lots of extra artificial lighting in a shot like this. You can always make it look less "cold" later (in the digital darkroom), but it gives you a chance at added sharpness.

This is a nice simple shot Judy. One can learn quite a lot about people from what books they have.It would be a great theme for TL to see what other peoples shelves contain!A nice idea from Norbert.
A good creative shot,well done.

Books are a great part of my life, too, Judy, at least before I joined TE and TL,, and I had more free time..

Oh very nice image and composition - Like the warm colours you got this fine collection with. I must study the titles later - but not some of mine among ;-)

Thanks for sharing Judy - fine work.

Nice warm colours and a very interesting subject, it is fun to try and read the titles. The warm gold brown of the bookcase shows off the individual colours of the books very well. Great composition.
