Soaring

A flock of cormorants soaring over the waves at Cape of good hope. Taken from the top of the cliff at this cape, an amazing view to watch these birds soaring. The emerald colour of the freezing cold sea creates an breathtaking view.

PP work, not much, shot in Raw, adjusted levels and curves after converting to jpeg. Small crop, resized and add frame.

Thanks and Kind regards.
Janusz

That water is beautiful Hans!! I love how you captured the birds in this. They are right in the white foam, so they are well seen! Super sharp!

Bonjour Hans
Magnifique photo de ce vole de cormorans au dessus d'une mer vert emeraude .
Belle capture c'est superbe.
Bravo!!
Florent

hi bro.
not the kind of sea to go skinny dipping!!

the birds, which are dwarfed by the swell, add scale to the piece.
you have captured the maelstrom for posterity.
Brian

quote from moby dick,
"No mercy, no power but its own controls it. Panting and snorting like a mad battle steed that has lost its rider, the masterless ocean overruns the globe."

Bonjour Hans.
L'adjonction d'oiseau donne un bon repère pour s'imaginer la grandeur de ces vagues.
Les couleurs sont magiques et le relief parfait.
Bonne journée.

Hi Hans,

What a great seascape.
Beautiful color tones.
Nice capture of the waves and the birds silhouette.
Congrats and TFS.

Best regards,
scubli

(Sorry, i'm out of green faces for today)

Spectacular - a great shot from this incredible and notorious point on the planet. The sea certainly looks unforgiving and threatening there - but the birds obviously thrive amidst its dangers.
Beautifully sharp and clear.

Beautiful watter color.
Very nice details and photos.
Regards Zoran

Hello Hans,

From the thumbnail, I just saw a foaming sea. However, I knew one of your shots would contain more. I'm so glad that I opened it! The inclusion of the cormorants gives this shot a whole new perspective, a sense of the spectacular against this introduction of scale.
Sharp, clear and quite thrilling!

Hope the journey's staying as wonderful as you hoped,
Bev :-)

Hoi Hans,

Wat gaaf! Prachtige kleuren en woestheid van de golven is erg mooi! De vogels zijn een leuke extra detail en goed geplaatst.
Goed gedaan!

Hi Hans, Good high POV to look down on the surging surf at Cape of Good Hope. The birds are a bonus and add scale.TFS.Murray.
