A small donut seller are negotiating livelihood ...
The historic old town is called "Mji Mkongwe" best known name in English Stone Town, the "city of stone", because the houses are built of coral stone. This area is world heritage of mankind. It is an architectural maze - a Medina - 3 km2 built without planning, a narrow maze of streets enclosed by a myriad of more than 2500 multi-storey houses, most of which date from the nineteenth century and whose charm is enhanced its old carved wooden doors.
