[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Gentoos are larger and heavier than Chinstrap and Adelie penguins and more shy and somewhat more difficult to approach. They are recognized by the white patch over their eyes and the bright coral bill.
Those breeding South of the 60th parallel are relatively smaller with shorter, stubby flippers, feet and bills. Gentoos breeding North of this area are generally larger, weighing as much as 6 to 8 Kg or more.

This adolescent Gentoo is almost ready to swim for his own food. The gray fluff that characterizes its childhood is almost all gone.

PP was cropping, yellow filter 20%, lighting effect - spotlight and the TL routine.

Workshop in B&W available

------

Wellington
